I’m marika.  I like to make things.  I like clay and textiles the most.  And food.

I pot, and quilt and knit.  And cook.  But don’t really bake.

The point of this blog is to share stuff I make, hopefully inspire you to try a project you’ve been too scared to take up, and please, ask questions.  We’ll work through crafting problems together.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope you’ll come back soon.

  1. I, too, enjoy clay, having collected pieces for years from every art festival and show I attended. This year, I’m actually taking courses at our local arts center and I LOVE it! Your pieces are really beautiful. I like their roundness and fullness – they look like they’d fit in your hands nicely. That will be a goal of mine – roundness. Thanks for the inspiration. PS. I dabble in quilting too. Found you through CrazyMomQuilts.

  2. Hi Cindy!
Good for you for taking up a class! My story is similar, having collected pices from trips and shows since I was 14, it took me nearly 10 years before I finally took a class. Now I can’t imagine my life without pottery. Are you turning clay or working with sculpture and molding?
Good luck with it all, if you’r turning clay it’ll probably be really hard at first but once you understand how to centre, everything gets better.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you’ll come back soon.
